This is another scene where it just seemed right to have things fit together a little scrappily. The town hall is one of those beautiful Victorian buildings that had been covered in grime during the twentieth century and a recent cleaning revealed the warm brown stone. The black top could be seen as a reference to that industrial history. Leeds is a busy and friendly city - 'vibrant' as some might say - and leaving parts unfinished, hastily filled in or indefinite just seemed appropriate for this great and changing town of the North.
