Boys and their toys.

This began as a series of the boy strutting his stuff with an old canon on the walls of the fortress in St Augustine, Florida. The red of his shirt and the black of the canon were given more oomph with a further contrast. The first picture includes just those things and has a slight tilt because it is the canon axis that is important. Below more pictures were added to include the lower section of the canon and the weathered flooring. I layered contrasted and uncontrasted images over one another and rubbed out sections to allow more detail or milder colour in particular sections. That graining of the stone parapet is interesting as well as the metal hooped wheels. Less isn't more, it's just enough we aim for.
