What is more noticeable here are the different solutions to areas that were not photographed, ranging from copying areas, to photo-painting to leaving areas blank. In my own opinion this makes for an exciting touch, like a large pencil or watercolour sketch with finished and unfinished parts. It has an expansive quality that is latent in the process of doing joiners. As for how others see these, I suspect the first ‘complete’ image of the April Dinner would be more to most people’s taste. Joiners are able to cater to all tastes and it is best to continue experimenting and trying new things once in a while. There is always room for improvement.
